Hi. I'm trying to create a template cache from a rare distribution that it's not based on RPM or YUM. I was searching for information to create this but I do not find anything.

If you could help about where can I get information about creating a template cache (I think I have to edit scripts, files, etc) I will be care of you.

Hello

You didn't really give a lot of information but you could try and find a Xen or Vserver or any other working template from another virtualization project and go from there. It might be easier than starting from scratch. Just food for thought. Good luck.

Yes, i know it would be easier, but my project requires openVZ and creating a template from a distribution based on router project one's.

I think the easy way is to create a snapshot from a installed system but I don't find any information about that. So I was searching for information to create a template cache of that distribution.

The project I'm working is to create several virtual machines that only differs in some services

yes, you can do snapshot in tar.gz of your system and then tune it as described in template HOWTOs, e.g. here http://wiki.openvz.org/Debian_template_creation and here http://wiki.openvz.org/Slackware_template_creation

there were also people on forum who reported success of such physical host to VPS conversion.
