installing RHEL6 kernel [message #43735]

Any ideas how to fix this

Your vzctl and vzctl-lib need updating too. You might want to check vzquota version while you're at it.

Perhaps it would be easier to set up the openvz yum repository and let yum update & resolve all the dependencies. There aren't many, though.

cd /etc/yum.repos.d
wget download.openvz.org/openvz.repo
rpm --import download.openvz.org/RPM-GPG-Key-OpenVZ

before download.openvz.org put http protocol cause i wasn't allowed to post it till i got 10 messages ...

yum install vzkernel

vi /etc/sysctl.conf

check for this

net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
net.ipv4.conf.default.proxy_arp = 0
net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter = 1
kernel.sysrq = 1
net.ipv4.conf.default.send_redirects = 1
net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects = 0
net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_broadcasts=1
net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding=1

After updating yum repo i am getting this error

[root@test1 openvz]# yum install vzkernel

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Please note that your yum config is trying to install the RHEL 5 kernel. That's not what you want, is it..?

yes i want RHEL 6, my host machine is RHEL 6.1

Linux test1 2.6.32-131.0.15.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue May 10 15:42:40 EDT 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
