Hi atomico80,
self-compiled kernel ... and the modules are on your system ?
When "/etc/init.d/vz" start after the installing process ...
the init script tries to load some modules ... but can't be loaded ... please check your kernel config.
Regards,
Thorsten
atomico80 wrote on Fri, 07 July 2006 11:54 | now I'm installing OpenVZ under debian,
after setting up, compiling, installing the Ovz kernel, i reboot.
then i try to install the Ovz tools using the following commands:
#echo "deb http://debian.systs.org/ stable openvz" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
#apt-get update
then i pass to install the packages
#apt-get install vzctl vzquota
and here i get the error that something went wrong with the last programs.
I reboot anyway, and while restarting i get this error
Starting OpenVZ: lsmod: QM_MODULES: Function not implemented

..failed
dpkg: error processing vzctl (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 255
Errors were encountered while processing:
vzctl
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
i tried also to unistall and reinstall, using
apt-get remove vzctl vzquota
and also
apt-get --purge remove vzctl vzquota
and reinstalling.
same result.
did i miss something?
thanks
