Hi all,

I'm running a server with 4 GB of RAM and around 20 small guests without any problems. To increase the number of guests I need to add some memory. I would like to put another 4 GB in the server to have 8 GB.

Do I have to ajust anything on OpenVZ or the OS or can I just mount the ram?

Thanks,
schogge

In regards to openvz itself, I don't think you'll need to change anything.

As to OS... well... you could at least mention which OS are you using. OpenVZ kernel and tools version wouldn't hurt either. Very Happy

But my guess is that you don't need to change anything either, unless you want more swap.

Thanks for your answer!

Here is the missing information
Linux base01 2.6.18-128.1.1.el5.028stab062.3ent #1 SMP Tue May 5 18:09:38 MSD 2009 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux

As I try to avoid using swap more swap is not needed.

Rgs,
