*SOLVED* Test kernel install error [message #4330] |

I used the kernel compile wiki on this site to compile my own kernel. I downloaded the vanilla kernel and applied the patches and ran into trouble on make install. I deleted and started over four or five times with the same result. I'm sure I forgot something stupid, but what??
make install
sh /home/admin/kernwork/linux-2.6.16/arch/i386/boot/install.sh 2.6.16-026test015 arch/i386/boot/bzImage System.map "/boot"

make: *** [install] Error 2
[root@schizoid linux-2.6.16]#
I have only compiled one other linux kernel before but that time it went just fine. Thanks

Ok this one was solved by aistis in the OpenVZ IRC channel.
mkdir /lib/modules/2.6.16-026test015
Seems if someone pays attention they can learn something every day.
