Hello Everyone,
Can I run existing CentOS 5.6 x64 guest(s) inside a CentOS 6 x64 host and Openvz RHEL6 based kernel?
Or any guideline?
Thank you very much for your advice.
Regards
George.

I was not trying to suggest PHP is a requirement on the node with plain jane OpenVZ. Anyone who has installed OpenVZ would know that is not the case. But as you mentioned if you are using a control panel on your nodes like I do and many other people do, many of them do require PHP.
But that is still besides the point. All I was saying is until it's tested one never knows what may be required. Depends on what you are doing as well. I do some things that require kernel modules to be accessible from the Virtual Machine. Besides the special configs required to give the VM's access to the nodes kernel modules there are often dependencies involved.
