Hi,

I set up a debian ve with the template from the openvz pake "debian31-minimal".

Next I made a distupgrade from stable to unstable and now I want to install sun-java.

But when I make apt-get install apt-get install sun-java5-jdk I get errors:
testvz103:~# apt-get install sun-java5-jdk
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
sun-java5-jdk is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
1 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B of archives.
After unpacking 0B of additional disk space will be used.
Setting up sun-java5-bin (1.5.0-06-1) ...
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
dpkg: error processing sun-java5-bin (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
 sun-java5-bin
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

How can I fix this, or did I make a mistake?

Java is quite a heavy application, most likely, you hit the default memory limits.

check and correct resource limits using /proc/user_beancounters as described at:
