I need to upgrade my kernel, what is the best way to do this. Currently am running:
CentOS release 5.5 x86_64
2.6.18-194.26.1.el5.028stab081.1
and would like to upgrade to:
238.9.1.el5.028stab089.1
I want to make sure I will be able to boot back into my old kernel in case we run into any issues with the new one. My question is would YUM or RPM be the best way to upgrade with keeping my old kernel available to boot from? Here is what YUM is showing:
