Hi all,

Just installed Openvz and using ovz-web as a gui.

My problem is I created a VM using a openvz template for centos5 i386 and all looks good, i can ssh from the openvz host to the guest vm, yet the guest vm cannot acces the outside network.

When I do an ifconfig on the guest vm, i get this:

venet0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
inet addr:127.0.0.1 P-t-P:127.0.0.1 Bcast:0.0.0.0 Mask:255.255.255.255

venet0:0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
inet addr:xxx.xxx.8.65 P-t-P:xxx.xxx.8.65 Bcast:xxx.xxx.8.65 Mask:255.255.255.255
UP BROADCAST POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MTU:1500 Metric:1

My problems, as im looking at this, thinking I just found my own issue... The netmask is suppose to be 255.255.255.192 and gateway xxx.xxx.8.1,

But I cannot see anwhere where to set this up, or is it even set correctly?

Hi,

have you setup sysctl setting on ct0 (hardwarenode) and any
iptables rule are activated on ct0 / ct.

Bye,
Thorsten
