Hi all,

On 4 different servers running multi cpus / mutiple VE's on upgrading the kernel from version

2.6.18-194.26.1.el5.028stab081.1

to

2.6.18-238.5.1.el5.028stab085.2
or
2.6.18-238.5.1.el5.028stab085.3

Im seeing a serious performance degradation (load averages on hardware node are over 2* what they are with 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5.028stab081.1 and VPS servers performance is significantly degraded.) .

has anyone else experienced this (im running over the number of VPS servers to CPU's in the servers in question, however the performance degrade is so significant I have had to roll back to the 2.6.18-194.26.1.el5.028stab081.1 kernel which then resolves the issue)

Is anyone else experiencing this, and do the dev's have any comments to make regarding this ?

I believe I am seeing the same issue - I think it is mostly IO related; see:
"www dot pastie dot org slash 1804630" (its a bunch of links, which i cant post because i havent posted 10 times before)

Have you tried upgrading to 028stab089.1 ?

I'd rather not reboot any production HN's until its considered stable, but I might do it anyway.
