Hello,

When I compiling new kernel (rhel5) from kernel.org + openvz patch + config I'm getting kernel panic on boot. I tried more than 5 openvz rhel5 realeases (stable and testing) but with all I get same kernel panic.
Firstly, when I'm compiling kernel i get wireless error. Then with "make menuconfig" I disable wireless and have successfully created debs, but after install on boot I get kernel panic.
Maybe smb can help with this? 1-2 years ago everything was fine with openvz kernel compiling, but now - not..

I'm using 2.6.18 kernel.
My machine: i7-950, 12 GB Ram, 1 TB hdd, debian5-x86_64 OS.

Thank you in advance.

There are no people who confront with this problem?

try to use another/older gcc version, for example 4.1 or 4.2

wireless error was caused by mawk/gawk incompatibility Very Happy
