here is the grub file.
note, in the meanwhile i tried to install kernel-2.6.16-1.2111_FC5.026test012.i686.rpm
i did the modification following the guide and rebooting i get the error reported in the image attached(kernel panic).
I also followed the "How to modify initrd image", but the init script mentioned in the guide is rather different from the one i get from "initrd-2.6.16-1.2111_FC5.026test012.img" file.
so i replaced the old conf files and I inverted the 2 'title' bloks in grub.conf file.
below the grub file.
