Hi all,

Whenever you make changes to the /etc/resolv.conf and reboot the VE the changes are reset back to default

nameserver = 4.2.2.1
nameserver = 4.2.2.2

Does anyone know if this is a common issue with templates or if there is any way to resolve it?

Hi,

If you change the resolv.conf in your ct, verify that no nameserver are set in ct config or on every start the ct resolv.conf will be override!

Read man page of vzctl and take a look at vzctl --verbose start <ctid>

Bye,
Thorsten

Hello,

Try to set nameservers through Node for the VPS as :

vzctl set <VEID> --nameserver ns1 --nameserver ns2 --save

After that reboot the VPS and check.

Thanks.

Hi,

you need not to restart the ct, after nameserver settings are made the resolv.conf setup is ready.

Bye,
Thorsten
