I am running Debian Squeeze with the OpenVZ kernel on my desktop. Unfortunately, even if I don't have any VE's going the sound will skip every few seconds with alsa buffer errors. If I switch to the non-openvz kernel it works perfectly.

Has anyone seen this behavior, or can you suggest some things to try? The only idea I have is to try a different sound card, but I'm not optimistic that it will work any better.
