hello,

this is a beginner question,

is there any way to partition physical disk space
assigned to a VE so as the VE "sees" different partitions ?
(for example : /var , /home, ...)

thanks
Tom

Read about mount scripts and bind mounts in OpenVZ user's guide.

thanks,

I understand that "bind mounting" makes it possible to share a directory between the host node and the virtual environnement (this directory being outside the VE private partition).

I mean : there is now way to "partition" the VE private directory (e.g. /vz/private/777), so as the VE runs on separate partitions ? (my wish is to provide the VE with a separate /var partition).
