As most of you probably already know, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 was finally released two days ago.

For us, this was a long awaited release especially for it's virtualization capabilities, since RHEL 5 has aged quite a bit. It has served us well, but years have made their toll.

RHEL6 currently has kernel-2.6.32-71.7.1 (released 10/29/2010).

Now I'm really looking forward to an openVZ RHEL6 kernel Smile

Has anyone tried HyperVM on RHEL6 yet?

Impossible, with the current state of things. Not even RHEL 5 version of the hypervm open source code is released.

I admit I haven't been active there for a long time, since we have moved on to a in-house proprietary control panel, but from what I can gather from the forums and such, I haven't seen anyone even mention RHEL 6.

Moving to RHEL 6 would at least require rebuilding a lot of the underlying hypervm server packages, such as lxlighttpd, lxphp, etc. and extensive testing, of course.
