Trying to install OpenVZ in Fedora 13, but next problem ocurrs:

[root@irisp0 yum.repos.d]# yum install ovzkernel
Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package ovzkernel.i686 0:2.6.18-194.8.1.el5.028stab070.5 set to be installed
--> Processing Dependency: mkinitrd >= 3.5.5 for package: ovzkernel-2.6.18-194.8.1.el5.028stab070.5.i686
--> Processing Conflict: udisks-1.0.1-4.fc13.i686 conflicts kernel < 2.6.26

Error: Package: ovzkernel-2.6.18-194.8.1.el5.028stab070.5.i686 (openvz-kernel-rhel5)
Requires: mkinitrd >= 3.5.5
Error: udisks conflicts with ovzkernel
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest


Any suggest how to solve this problem???

Reporting the same problem. Cannot install openvz Sad Using 32bit version of Fedora 13.

uname -a says 2.6.34.7-56.fc13.i686.PAE #1 SMP Wed Sep 15 03:27:15 UTC 2010 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux


Love kernels, not shells.

I'm assuming you are using Fedora 13 for testing purposes? So, did you try using a RHEL6 beta kernel instead?

It should be far better suited for Fedora 13 or 14.

No, it's my development system that needs many VEs. I did not try RHEL6 kernel, but I'll try, thanks.
