I am unable to change the date/time within my OpenVZ Debian VPS. Can someone advise how to do this.

I can change the timezone, but that is [censored] useless because the time does not change. and nothing else is alloed to be used such as the following:

otb1:~# dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
Current default timezone: 'Australia/Sydney'
Local time is now: Fri Jul 30 17:56:50 EST 2010.
Universal Time is now: Fri Jul 30 07:56:50 UTC 2010.

hwclock
hwclock is unable to get I/O port access: the iopl(3) call failed.

hwclock --systohc --utc
