I have just updated a system (centos 5,
vzctl-lib-3.0.24-1
vzctl-3.0.24-1

And after update I noticed that the correct hostname is no longer (fully) passed to the guest.
If the configured hostname in CTID.conf is for example
myhost.mydomain.tld

In the container's /etc/sysconfig/network file the
we only get something like
HOSTNAME="myhost" while suffix (domainname) ".mydomain.tld" is lost. This despite the fact that vzctl.log pretends it sets the guest with the fully qualified name.
This sudden change interferes with guest applications that expect the hostname to return the fqdn.
Is this a reason for this change ?

edit /etc/vz/dists/scripts/redhat-set_hostname.sh and comment the line "$(val=val%%.*}"
