Hi!
Were having an issue since very long and its quite annoying to fix it always so I decided to post a thread here.
We have many OpenVZ Servers running 4-5 VPS's each. At random times (not everyday, maybe like once a week) the VPS's on a certain node and the node itself lags a lot.
When we check the load, its always 1 or less than 1 but if we ping any VPS on the node or even the host ip itself, the ping starts from 70 ms and then rises to 1250 ms, and then to 3150 ms, and then reduces to 2150 ms. (approximate figures)
The only way we have found to fix this is by typing in service network restart on the host node. This fixes the ping issue and it goes back to 70 ms the whole time, and theres no lagging on any vps.
Then maybe after one week it happens again and we have to run the same command again.
Is there anyway to permanently fix this? or is there anyway to make the command run automatically when a certain level is reached? (ie when the ping goes too bad, such as higher than 200 ms maybe?)
Thanks!
