Hello,

I have a 2.6.18-194.3.1.el5.028stab069.6 system on Centos 5 and the vzctl command (run on the HN) is returning an error as follows:

# vzctl set 101 -onboot no --save
non-option ARGV-elements: -onboot no

or

# vzctl set 104 -devnodes random:rw -save
non-option ARGV-elements: -devnodes random:rw -save

The containers exist and can be entered. The error occurs both if the container is running and stopped.

I have tried recompiling vzctl from source with "./configure --enable-bashcomp --enable-logrotate" and it did not resolve the problem.

Any hints or suggestions?

Stuck Until Then,

Steve H

Those examples are:

"vzctl set 101 --onboot no --save"

and

"vzctl set 104 --devnodes random:rw --save"

I noticed that without the quotes some of the dashes disappeared.

Resolved. Re-entered the commands character by character instead of cut and paste to putty from a Win document and they worked.
