Hi guys!
I'm planning on installing a new openvz host.
The System has 12 GB RAM and an Intel Quadcore.

So I guess I need the 2.6.18-SMP kernel.
I didn't find it in the apt archives... only i386. Do I really have to compile the kernel myself now?

Thanks for any help!
Max

You could consider to use the Etch packages. The repository of OpenVZ has the 'ovzkernel-2.6.18-smp'.

I can only find 2.6.18-20-ovz-amd64
Does that work for my quadcore with 8GB?

Thank you so much!
