Hello all,
is it possible that OpenVZ kills processes (maybe under certain circumstances)???
physical box: Xeon with 8GB RAM, Ubuntu 8.04 server 64bit
currently running only 1 VE
VE: Ubuntu 8.04 32bit with 3,5GB RAM
The VE is running Tomcat on Java 6 with some webapps.
Most of the time the Java system within the VE is running fast and stable, but sometimes (after some peak load?) the JVM is suddenly gone, the JVM logs do not show any memory problem and the OpenVZ beancounter reads 0 failcnts everywhere, except a lot for the tcpsndbuf.
How can it be that a JVM crahes in this environment, same setting on pure hardware never shows up this behaviour.
Can tcpsndbuf settings be critical and provoke any such behaviour?
Ever seen any such jvm or other process crashing?
