I am working on a cluster-able solution using openVZ.

There is one thing that I am stuck on, is I need IP addresses added to the VE , but I need for them not to be route able at all, just venet0:0 , I just need them there so scripts on the node can read the IPs. Its using a closed code control panel so no other way to modify it.

My best solution is to somehow make the VE only route traffic from venet0:0, but ignore anything else. venet0:* other than venet0:0 I want it ignored, not routeable, etc, but at least it can show when doing "ip addr show" in a CentOS template.

Is it possible somehow in openVZ to get this done ?

If so how would someone go to do this?

Not really sure, but maybe you could use bridged networking?
