Hallo all
I'm new to this forum, and I'm trying to set up openvz networking through venet0. I'm on Debian lenny/squeeze.

I'm using ipmasq to setup the networking stuff, and it simply doesn't work

after a bit of investigation it turns out that ipmasq is getting confused by the fact that the venet0 interface has no netmask and no ip (and no broadcast, but I haven't checked if this represents a problem yet), so it gets discarded from the list of the interfaces

is this the normal behaviour or is it a bug?

I could simply assign such stuff to the interface, but I don't know if this is the right way to go and if it could cause other problems

any suggestions?

these are the openvz related packages installed in my box

$dpkg -l|grep vz
ii linux-image-2.6.26-2-openvz-amd64 2.6.26-21lenny3
ii vzctl 3.0.22-14
ii vzdump 1.2.4-2
ii vzquota 3.0.11-1

thank you

Davide
