OpenNAS is a BSD distro.
If you want OpenNAS,run it in a VM with VMware or Virtualbox, along
side OVZ.
I run Windows 2003 server for LAN DNS on my Node server, using Virtualbox VRDP mode.
Works great.

For anyone looking for a LINUX NAS,try "Openfiler".
A commercial grade NAS for "free",try NexentaStor, which is based on
OpenSolaris.
The "free" part for NexentaStor,is simply registering the product.
Each of these, can be downloaded in *.iso format.
