I doubt somebody had asked this question before.

I install ipvsadm on VE (opensuse 11.2-32bits under proxmox)

If I input ipvsadm -l (run as root).

Display follow error message.

FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.24-7-pve/modules.dep no such file or directory
Can't initialize ipvs: Permission denied (you must be root)
Are you sure that IP Virtual Server is built in the kernel or as module?

and I could not find the ip_vs modules either. so does openvz kernel has the ipvs modules build-in, or it is proxmox issue.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

you should load the linux kernel module for ipvs on your hardware node ... and retry ...

Bye,

You need to turn on NET_ADMIN capability for container. This will make things to work.
