Hi there...

I have my server in a VPS based on Virtuozzo.

Operating system: Redhat Linux 7.3
Kernel and CPU: Linux 2.4.20-020stab009.8.777-smp on i686
Processor information: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.40GHz, 2 cores
Real memory: 3.70 GB total, 2.34 GB used
Virtual memory: 8 GB total, 953.57 MB used
Local disk space: 4.15 GB total, 1.48 GB used

I want to update it, but I don´t have access to the HN.
I only have full access by SSH to my container.

I am running Red Hat 7.3 (very old) and I want to update it to CentOS...

Is it posible to run CentOS 5 or any other on top of a Linux 2.4.20 kernel?
Because I think that I can´t update the kernel from the client side? is this correct?

Thank for your help ...
