We have setup a new OpenVZ box CentOS 5.4 x64
Kernel: 2.6.18-128.2.1.el5.028stab064.8

May I know how/where does the LowMem limit 3156MB set,
shown in vzmemcheck -vA at the bottom?

We'd like to increase the LowMem limit, is it possible?

This node (8GB RAM, 32G Swap) is just newly setup without containers.

You drastically overcommit your system. Please read http://wiki.openvz.org/UBC_systemwide_configuration where all values output by vzmemcheck are explained in great details.

I am sorry that it is a brand new server with no container created nor running.

But I am just wondering why low-memory is still limited to 3156M , instead of 8G RAM.
