Hello

I ran into an issue where the VM errors out with
-bash: fork: Cannot allocate memory

From this output it looks like it's running out of memory or the host is limiting the amount of ram that can be used.

This is a 4GB server I'd like to be able to give this VM 3GB.

Hi,

I would recommend you to pay attention at the last column.
The constantly increasing failcounters indicate that your VE has lack of resources.
You can read wiki pages about managing them
