Hi !

I have installed ubuntu 8.04 in a VE but when I run "runlevel" I get "unknown", and the services listed in /etc/rc2.d are not started.

Moreover, /var/run/utmp does not exist in the VE.

Does anyone has any clue ?

Actually, the system was still booting, blocked on this command :
host $IP_ADDR

when it gets the timeout the booting process finished and the right runlevel is reached.
