Hello:

I have installed Ubuntu Desktop 9.10 and upgrade to latest kernel, now I have running:

2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

To enable OpenVZ support I have installed kernels:

http://debian.systs.org/debian/pool/openvz/o/ovzkernel-2.6.1 8-amd64/ovzkernel-2.6.18-amd64_028stab064.7dso1_amd64.deb

and

http://download.openvz.org/ubuntu/dists/hardy/experimental/b inary-amd64/linux-image-2.6.24-22-openvz_2.6.24-22.43_amd64. deb

but both kernels are unabled to boot. Both show problem to locate filesystem structure at boot start: can not mount /dev /sys.. can not locate /sbin/init, can not locate /dev/urandom

I think that this is a problem with grub 2 which it is a Ubuntu 9.10 standar.

Can someone give me any suggestion about how to fix this problem?

P.S.: ofc, I have also installed initrd packages.

UPDATE: I think that I have found the problem: pre-build kernel do not has ext4 support enabled (ubuntu 9.10 has ext4 as a default filesystem format)
