I have installed CentOS 5.3 x86_64 and kernel:
2.6.18-128.2.1.el5.028stab064.7
Version vzctl:
vzctl-3.0.23-1.x86_64.rpm
vzctl-lib-3.0.23-1.x86_64.rpm
When i run vzctl i have this error:
[root@ggau /]# vzctl set 111 -hostname 111.gsau.lan -save
non-option ARGV-elements: -hostname 111.gsau.lan -save
[root@ggau /]# vzctl set 111 -hostname '111.gsau.lan' -save
non-option ARGV-elements: -hostname 111.gsau.lan -save
[root@ggau /]# vzctl set 111 -hostname "111.gsau.lan" -save
non-option ARGV-elements: -hostname 111.gsau.lan -save

Does any solution exist?
Thanks

Definitely! Try using --hostname instead of -hostname. Same for save: use --save not -save.

But i using --hostname. When i add message in this forum --hostname becomes -hostname.
I resolved problem. Compile vzctl from source with option
./configure --enable-bashcomp --enable-logrotate
