Hi , i have openvz (2.6.18) installed on debian etch and Ubuntu 8 , i used
"deb http://debian.systs.org/ etch openvz "
record in /etc/apt/sources.list . All works , but i wonder if i can update kernel , just using redhat binary kernels. Current kernel from http://debian.systs.org/ is 2.6.18-14-fza-amd64 which is old .
Lets say i want 2.6.18-028stab064.7. Is there simple way to port it without recompiling from source ?

Hi,

you can use the ovzkernels - on debian.systs.org,
these a build on the RHEL OpenVZ src or build the OpenVZ linux kernel src via make-kpkg ...

Package: ovzkernel-2.6.18-amd64
Version: 028stab064.7dso1
Architecture: amd64
Depends: linux-image-2.6.18-19-ovz-amd64
Description: OpenVZ - Meta kernel 2.6.18-19-ovz-amd64 (028stab064.7dso1) on amd64
This Package is only a META Package to install the
OpenVZ kernel 2.6.18-19-ovz-amd64 (028stab064.7dso1) on amd64.

Hope this helps.
