		Hi *;

using Proxmox Virtual Environment, I am trying to create a Windows (7/XP) container on a i7 base machine.

I followed the instructions of the video, stored an ISO image of Windows XP installation cd in the base machines directory "/var/lib/vz/template/iso", could select it.

I could start the new VM, see it pick up memory and cpu time. If I then try to access the VM via vnc console, a window opens very shortly, then it closes again and the web session (Firefox) to the base machine closes too.

After reestablishing the Proxmox connection I can see that the VM is still running, but it stays inaccessible. If I try to connect with VM -> same procedure as before.

I searched the forum but found nothing so far.

*** That statement was wrong, I just used the wrong search words.
*** If found a hint to enter the VM manually and tried that.
***    "vzctl enter 104"
*** the answer:
*** "Container config file does not exist"
*** and so it seems; there is no "/etc/vz/conf/104.conf"
*** but: it is a brand new container of type windowsXP ... and I don't know yet whether there should already by a conf file.
*** So still:

Any pointers?
