Hi there! Been using openvz for a few months now and I just did a restore test to a vanilla box using proxmox.

I installed proxmox, copied over the vzdumped container, and restored using --restore. I was able to start the container and it worked like a champ.

The thing I am curious about is templates. On the original box, the container was set to a centos template. However, the template is not on the new machine.

How does the this container work if the associated template is not installed?

Thanks in advance.

because in vps config file it's an option OSTEMPLATE, which indicates what type of scripts to execute during vps startup (for example some commands are a little bit specific on different distributions)

os templates in templates/cache only needed when creating vps.
