Can't checkpoint container [message #37217]

This happens when I first try to checkpoint a running container.

ubuntu8.04-x86_64 openvz

root@deb01:~# vzctl chkpnt 777
Setting up checkpoint...
        suspend...
        dump...
Can not dump VE: Invalid argument
Error: d_path is invisible /dev
Checkpointing failed
root@deb01:~#

I am doing it wrong ?
