So im facing some strange issue with openvz i have never seen.
Seems like inside one of my vps dist quotas do not work.
kernel: 2.6.18-92.1.18.el5.028stab060.2PAE
/etc/vz/conf/***.conf has:
# Disk quota parameters (in form of softlimit:hardlimit)
DISKSPACE="51200000:51200000"
DISKINODES="25600000:25600000"
QUOTATIME="0"

while inside vps i see:
# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/simfs            452G  393G   36G  92% /

whole system.. and user can actually use whole server hdd space to store files.
Strange.

1. Use vzquota utility on the HN.
2. Show "ls -l /etc/mtab" output from that VE.
3.

Are you sure about this?

/etc/mtab should be symlink to /proc/mounts
Previous Topic: Unable to get /proc/swaps file in vz
