I would like to use vzdump with the --snapshot option and have a couple of general questions.

After doing a vgdisplay on the volume group which contains the /vz partition it reports that the Free PE /Size available is 33.50GB which should be more than enough for vzdump when using the --snapshot option, correct?

When using the --snapshot option with vzdump can I specify the --dumpdir on the /vz partition, or does it need to reside on another partiion when using the --snapshot option?

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure the path you specify for dumpdir needs to be on a different partition than the one that contains the VPS data.

You can specify a different partition when using snapshot parameter.
