Ich habe dasselbe Problem. Ich speichere meine Backups flat und erstelle Timestamps über Hardlinks. Statt tar einfach rsync wählen zu können wäre da sexy.

Ich habe mir vzdump diesbezüglich mal angesehen und es scheint sich nur um die Änderung einer einzigen Zeile zu handeln, so dass der Aufwand zu verkraften wäre. Es wäre lediglich nervig, eventuelle Updates nachzupatchen.

Okay, wenn man es richtig machen will, führt man dazu natürlich eine Option ein, womit es wohl ein paar Zeilen mehr werden. Sieht aber immernoch recht überschaubar aus.
