Hi,

We have 2 VE in the same hardware node and each of them owned an application which communicates via UDP with the other one in the other VE. We try to understand how network layer works :
  • UDP frame is send to the real network via Eth0?
  • Is OpenVZ optimized and uses only virtual network(venet0) to send frame between VE on the same hardware node?
  • Other?

In our case, we try to quantify the impact of inter-VE network communication on performance, network, ....

Thank for your help

Pat
