Hi guys
i've upgraded my ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 inside VE (i have no access to the host machine) and something is wrong - i cant access ssh.
through hypervm panel i've checked, using 'command center', if venet0 is up, and it seems properly configured so, anyone has any tips what could be wrong? /etc/network/interfaces and others look good (same as they were before upgrade) and every other network service runs smoothly, only that damned ssh tends to get me crazy. There is nothing unusual in /var/log/syslog nor in /var/log/messages
edit:
there is nothing in my iptables and i'm not using any firewalls.

Do I get it right that you are actually HyperVM customer? In that case why don't you try their support?
Still, more reasons for your problem that comes from the top of my head:
— shortage of numpty resource
— not mounted devpts fs (mentioned before but you haven't said anything about it)
— some problem specific to sshd (check logs)
