My OpenVZ Kernel version is 2.6.18-53.1.13.el5.028stab053.10ent #1 SMP

I want to add modules for ipvsadm to kernel.

If I upgrade Kernel version to new version.
Do kernel version have support modules for ipvsadm to kernel??

BR.
Thanks.

Nick

What kind of modules do you mean?
These modules have been already included in kernel:
ip_vs_dh.ko ip_vs.ko ip_vs_lblcr.ko ip_vs_nq.ko ip_vs_sed.ko ip_vs_wlc.ko
ip_vs_ftp.ko ip_vs_lblc.ko ip_vs_lc.ko ip_vs_rr.ko ip_vs_sh.ko ip_vs_wrr.ko

I install ipvsadm on VE

If I input ipvsadm -l.

Display follow error message.

FATAL: Error inserting ip_vs (/lib/modules/2.6.18-53.1.13.el5.028stab053.10ent/kernel/net/ipv4/ipvs/ip_vs.ko): Operation not permitted
Can't initialize ipvs: Protocol not available
Are you sure that IP Virtual Server is built in the kernel or as module?

So, Are you sure the ipvs is built in the kernel or as module??

Thanks
Nick

Hi,

its prohibited to load modules from inside the VE.
First of all, load necessary modules on the HN.

You have to turn on NET_ADMIN capability for container.
