Hi,

When I try to start my VPS the vzctl command fails with the following error message:
>vzctl start 101
>>Starting container ...
>>Container is mounted
>>setublimit (null) 1740800:1847296 failed: Invalid argument
>>Container start failed
>>Container is unmounted

According to the message, it seems that the KMEMSIZE parameter is not valid (KMEMSIZE="1740800:1847296" in the 101.conf file).

However, I have re-created and tried to start the VPS 101 with all default VPS configuration files (light, basic and unlimited) but it still does not work (the error message is the same).

Below are some additional information:
*Host:
- OpenSUSE 11.1, kernel: 2.6.27 64 Bits
- OpenVZ Kernel 2.6.27 64 bits (kernel-ovz-default-2.6.27.11-aivazovsky.1.43.1.x86_64.rpm, kernel-ovz-default-base-2.6.27.11-aivazovsky.1.43.1.x86_64.r pm, kernel-ovz-default-extra-2.6.27.11-aivazovsky.1.43.1.x86_64. rpm)
*VPS:
- OpenSUSE 11.1 64 Bits (handmade template cache)
*VPS configuration:
- ve-light.conf-sample
- or ve-unlimited.conf-sample
- or ve-vps.basic.conf-sample

Thank you in advance for your help,

Fred

1. Could you please attach VEs configuration file?
2. What kind of vzctl have you installed? Where have you got it?

Hi,

We have resolved our problem: we were using the 32 bits version of the OpenVZ tools (vzctl) not the 64 bits one!
We thought about this when reading your question "2. What kind of vzctl have you installed? Where have you got it?"

Now it works well Smile

Thank you very much for your help,
Fred
