Hello Folks,

I am running an Asterisk based distro called Elastix in a VE. The Music on Hold works but I tried for hours to get the conference working without success. I created a conference number 3000 with PIN of 1234. I dial into the conference and I am prompted for the PIN but when I enter the PIN I get that is not a valid conference PIN number.

The attached log shows:
"app_meetme.c: Unable to open pseudo device"

The problem is that Elastix has Asterisk 1.4.23 and is using DAHDI which is due to replace Ztdummy so when I followed this:

http://wiki.openvz.org/Asterisk_from_source

it didn't help much.

I even downloaded the Asterisk 1.4.24 and recompiled Asterisk but that didn't help either. Please see the attached log.

The CLI shows that the DAHDI modules are loaded:

el*CLI> module reload chan_dahdi.so
-- Reloading module 'chan_dahdi.so' (DAHDI Telephony w/PRI)
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/dahdi-channels.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi_additional.conf': Found
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/users.conf': Found
el*CLI>

Any ideas please?

regards,

Hi Errol,

I've never used asterisk but
- make sure that all needed kernel modules are loaded on the HN
- make sure that all needed devices exist inside VE (/dev directory)
BTW, I found this link

http://www.elastix.org/index.php?option=com_fireboard&fu nc=view&catid=31&id=18202&Itemid=55

Hi Marat,

I had resolved it earlier by just following the principles for doing it for Zaptel. I would like to do a How to for the wiki would that be okay?

regards,

Errol

Can you please start a new thread with this message. This post has nothing to do with the current thread.
