Hello, this is my problem:
SO: GNU/Linux Debian Lenny

son:~# uname -a

Hello! i have got the same problem -

"ERROR: unable to detect lvm volume group, using 'suspend' mode"
when trying to make snapshot, and create a 10Kb tarball with suspend mode.

Is anybody solve it?
