Hello,

I am running CentOS 5 and recently did an update to my VZs using 'vzyum XXX update'. After restarting the servers, I can no longer log into one of my VZ's. When attempting to connect via SSH or "vzctl enter 101" I get:

"PTY allocation request failed"

On the host I am using:

vzpkg-2.7.0-18
ovzkernel-2.6.18-92.1.18.el5.028stab060.2
vzctl-3.0.23-1
vzrpm43-4.3.3-7_nonptl.6
vzrpm44-python-4.4.1-22.5
vzrpm43-python-4.3.3-7_nonptl.6
vztmpl-centos-5-2.0-2
vzquota-3.0.12-1
vzctl-lib-3.0.23-1
vzyum-2.4.0-11
ovzkernel-2.6.18-53.1.19.el5.028stab053.14
vzrpm44-4.4.1-22.5

How do I get access back to my VZ?

Hello,

it looks like during the updating process udev package was installed.
Please, look at this page
