Hey you guys!
I'm absolutly enthusiastic! OpenVZ is working fine and it's much better than Linux-Vserver as far as I'm concerned.

There is a last question: Do I need special Kernel-Modules to setup CPU-Limits?
I set up a limit of 10% for a container and compiled something in the guest. The total CPU-Usage (top on host) was > 90%.

Does anybody have an idea or a link?

Thank!
Max

Hello,

what kernel do you use?

cpulimits are only available with 2.6.18 kernels?

Damn... That must be the problem.
Sorry, I guess there must be a hint somewhere in the wiki, that I didn't found!

Thanks!

In your link they say they'd use the built in scheduler.
I guess there is a chance to use that for the OpenVZ-Hosts.... Do you also have a link for that?

Great thanks to you!

I compiled the .18 Kernel for that reason, but I don't like to do that since I'm using Lenny.... I'd prefer the newer versions....
