Hello,

We are using server with ICH9DO chipset.
We need OpenVZ kernel with ICH9 and cpulimit, cpuunits, cpus limit support.
2.6.18 has cpulimit support, but does not supports ICH9 and our server cannot boot...
2.6.24 supports ICH9, server boots, but this version does not support cpulimit, cpuunits, cpus limiting...
We badly need kernel with ICH9 and cpulimit support.
Do it is possible?

Thanks for any advise or solution!

I am running CentOS 5.2 and using the 2.6.18 series of OpenVZ kernels without issue on a server with an ICH9D chipset.

I have set the SATA mode in the motherboard BIOS to AHCI and am using six SATA drives in software RAID.

Yes. It seems that rhel based 2.6.18 kernel has backported drivers of ICH9 and cpulimit works. before we have tried to use not rhel based kernel (Debian). But after switching to CentOS and with rhel kernel problem is solved.

Thank you!
