Hi!

I am trying to setup a VE that offers KDE/Gnome sessions via FreeNX. After a lot of work getting the VE running now i am facing a new problem: D-Bus.

As described in this forum previously there is a problem regarding the capabilities that are used by OpenVZ and D-Bus. In the 2.6.18-028stab060.2 RHEL5-based kernel this problem should be fixed but what about the 2.6.24-23-openvz kernel shipped with the latest ubuntu updates? Is the patch that solves the capabilities issue applied to this kernel too?

I get the following error:

# dbus-daemon --system --nofork
Failed to start message bus: Failed to drop capabilities: Operation not permitted

# uname -a
Linux ovzhost1 2.6.24-23-openvz #1 SMP Mon Jan 26 03:48:05 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
